River India Guide School Instructor

Project description: We are building a river recreation industry from scratch in Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh. We teach an annual guide school called SARSI at no cost for local youths.

Needed: Skills in whitewater raft guiding, rowing, first aid, CPR, wilderness first response, swift water rescue, food handling, Hindi language, leave no trace ethics, back country camping. Significant outdoor and international travel experiences are key.

Price information: $1250 for guides and trainees. Requires an interview and references from applicants.
