In 2003, the Boston-based child-welfare agency Wide Horizons For Children began work in Ethiopia to help these orphans and to strengthen their surrounding communities.
Today, the agency's efforts in Ethiopia have two primary missions. One arm works at the individual level, sponsoring nearly 1,000 orphaned children to help them thrive in their hometowns. Orphan adoption services are provided as a last resort. The agency's other arm provides development projects closely coordinated with local communities. Here, Wide Horizons constructs schools, clean-water projects, and urgently needed health clinics.Wide Horizons For Children thanks all those who generously donated their time and services to create the video for our Ethiopian humanitarian aid program:
